Created in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Paris-based Institut du Monde Arabe, an exceptional collection presenting the most exhaustive panorama of contemporary Arab art to date, and features painting, sculpture, photography, video and installations, as well as special commissions and works by some of the most renowned names in the contemporary art scene including Bahraini Artist Waheeda Malullah.

The exhibition, named “25 YEARS OF ARAB CREATIVITY” will be held at the Bahrain National Museum in Manama, from July 15th till September 15th, coinciding with the annual Bahrain Summer Festival. At the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe, Arab contemporary art reveals a great plurality of styles. Many of the exhibited artists share more than one culture. Some of them have settled in Europe or the USA while a great many of them have also returned to their homelands. They thus create a unique link between East and West; a link characterized by its openness towards the world and the profound upheavals that are affecting it.
