Under the patronage of the Mexican Embassy in Riyadh and the Honorary Consulate in Bahrain and with the collaboration of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the International Mexican Folklore Ballet, “Yoliztli Widen de la Laguna”  supported  by Dr. Imelda Widen, born in the state of Coahuila, who has been promoting the Mexican culture and tourism around the globe for the past seven years with multiple international performances.

The word “Yoliztli” derives from the native indigenous Aztec language meaning movement.

The movement promotes the Northern Metropolitan area of Mexico called “La Laguna”, composed of three cities at the border of two Northern states of Coahuila and Durango.

The ballet will perform the most representative regional dances which represent the great variety of Mexico’s outstanding diversity and culture.
