On the 28th anniversary of Bahrain National Museum’s establishment, we celebrate our National Day through “Manama Doesn’t Sleep”, an exciting 12-hour program of activities supported by Tamkeen and the French Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

Discovering 200 years of Bahraini-British Relations

We re-discover “Explorations, Encounters, and Remembered Stories: 200 Years of British-Bahraini Relations”, an exhibition that highlights the deep-rooted relationship between the two nations.

Launching the 8th Ta’a Al-Shabab Festival

Ta’a Al-Shabab Festival announces its launch and the program of its 8th edition which will run through February 2017. The youth of Ta’a Al-Shabab and their wonderful innovations will be present throughout the activities of the “Manama Doesn’t Sleep”.

Scratchophone Orchestra

In cooperation with the French Embassy in Bahrain, the four-man group Scratchophone comes to Bahrain to present their unique style of modern and classical music.

Signing of Younis Salman’s poetry collection “Letters of Love”

Bahraini poet Younis Salman will sign his poetry collection “Letters of Love” which features patriotic poems and songs inspired by his love for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its leaders.

“Oud” After Midnight

Screening of Hamad and the Pirates

We experience a different kind of cinematic experience with Hamad and the Pirates, a 1971 Disney movie shot in the Kingdom of Bahrain, directed by and featuring Bahrain’s own Khalifa Shaheen.

“Discover the Museum” Competition

We re-discover Bahrain National Museum as it celebrates its anniversary by delving deep into the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain through a quiz competition presented by the Ta’a Al-Shabab team.
