Held in commemoration of Arab Tourism Day, the Bahrain National Theatre hosts Scheherazade, a ballet production based on One Thousand and One Nights. It was originally performed by Ballet Russes, the most influential ballet company of the 20th century. The production went down as a major landmark of the entire art world whose lasting legacy can be attributed to the visionary founder of Ballet Russes’ founder, Sergey Diaghilev, who commissioned collaborations among young innovators that resulted in masterpieces whose impact continues to present day.
