On the occasion of International Day for Sites and Monuments (World Heritage Day), the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Bahrain - ICOMOS organizes an 8km walkathon to a number of archaeological sites north of Bahrain starting from the site of Qal’at Al-Bahrain and ending at the temple of Barbar.

The starting point will be the Qal’at Al-Bahrain site, passing through the farms surrounding the site, Hilla Islamic Archeological site, Al Hajer Archeological site, Shakhoura Burial Mounds and the site of the Barbar temples.

Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquity will be providing Transportation by the to move from the Temple of Barbar site to Qal’at Al-Bahrain site museum while providing light meals during the event.

Age Group: 10+ years old
Below 10 years with parents supervision
Time: 8 AM – 12 PM

Last day for Registration: 14th April 2019

Gathering Point: Parking Area at Qal’at Al-Bahrain site museum
Gathering time: 7:30 AM

T-shirts distribute will be at Qal’at Al-Bahrain site Museum
