03 April 2012 We all read Campaign as part of Taa al Shabab festival Participates at Bahrain 15th International Book Fair

As part of “Taa Al-Shabab” festival initiative, the campaign “We all read” participated at the Bahrain’s 15th International Book Fair by organizing a series of events and activities, the aim of which is to promote and inform the public about the 4thseesion of the festival planned by Taa al-Shabab next September. 

 

The pavilion organizer and coordination, Ms Aysha Bu Hammud, said that “ we all read campaign has planned many events for adults and children in the morning through the daily school visits to the exhibition. The campaign activities were largely publicized and promoted through social media networks by members of the group in coordination with the exhibition’s organizers and administrators. Of course, people can come every day to our stand open from 9:00 am-22:00pm in order to see and enjoy the main achievements of Taa Al-Shabab festival, pick up different publications and complete special forms to join the initiatives we have launched.

She went to add that” Taa al-Shabab pavilion attracted the attention and admiration of all visitors, especially publishing companies from other countries who praised the voluntary efforts of the Bahraini youth to spread culture in our country”

Ms. MsAysha Bu Hammud pointed out that Taa al-Shabab has succeeded   in book –signing two poetry collections written by members of the group; “Just for Clarification”, by poet Jaffar al Alawi and “ Things Worth a Cause” by female poet, Ranwa al-Amsi as part of the Ministry of Culture initiative to inaugurate a Bahraini book every day in the book fair. She also praised the efforts of Taa al Shabab members and administrators, whose efforts have been fruitful and their success story has never stopped since the first festival until the third.  It is worth mentioning that the fourth session of  “Taa al-Shabab” festival will take place as usual next September with many activities and events to celebrate Manama as the Capital of Arab Culture.

Members of both Taa al-Shabab and “We all read” campaign expressed their gratitude and appreciation to H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Minister of Culture for her valuable support to Bahraini youth and her decision to allocate a special pavilion for both groups in Bahrain’s 15th International Book Fair.
