21 January 2012 H.E Minister of Culture informs Banks' CEOs and private companies' directors about projects of Manama as the upcoming projects Capital of Culture

As part of the continuous partnership between the two sides, H.E Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed held a an extended meeting with the participation of banks CEO's and private companies' directors in order to discuss ways and means of multiplying and expanding the bilateral projects between the Ministry of Culture and the private sector. The Minister reviewed with her guests the project of "Investing in Culture" and exchanged ideas and propositions concerning the activities and progarmmes to be carried out during "Manama as the Arab Culture, 2012" events. They all agreed to promote and enhance the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in tourism and culture areas and encourage vital cultural programmes.

In her turn, Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed, the Minister of Culture, expressed thanks deep gratitude to the banking sector and private companies for their constant support and encouragement. H.E hailed the role played by the financial sector in supporting culture and its contribution to the success of the upcoming celebrations of Manama as the capital of Arab culture. It is worth mentioning that, every month of this year will be dedicated to a special cultural theme. The meeting was another occasion to stress the importance of promoting Bahrain as the new cultural destination and trace back the glory of its ancient civilizations.
