07 June 2012 H.E Meets French Architects

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad, Minister of Culture, met with a group of French architects in the presence of Bahrain consultant architect, Mohammad Salah Eddine. During the meeting, they discussed the new proposed building of the Ministry of Culture, which received the budget approval and full support of H.R.H. Prince Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister. The Minister of Culture agreed with the French architects on the main guidelines, the stages of implementing the project and the duration of works so that employees of the Ministry can move to the new building as soon as possible. 

H.E Shaikha Mai renewed her thanks and appreciation the support and patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the official opening of Culture, starting with the Ministry's of Culture, the National Theatre Project. Taking the opportunity, H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture, expressed her profound gratitude and sincere thanks to H.R.H, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Prime Minister, for his constant support for heritage protection, renovation of historical buildings and preservation of the national identity, praising at the same time HRH Prince Salman for continued support of the leadership for efforts exerted towards revitalizing culture and heritage. The Crown Prince's vision 2030 and strategy to promote Bahrain as a cultural destination within a GGC network was also appreciated.

H.E also affirmed the importance of the new Ministry's building, which will be environmentally friendly within the framework of green architecture, sustainable development and erected at a strategic location in Manama; between Bahrain National Museum, the  Regional WH Arab Center and the Arts Center.
