The 2013 Bahrain Summer Festival continues its dazzling lineup of shows with a special concert performed by a talented trio from Thailand tonight at 8 pm (Tuesday, August 20) at the Cultural Hall.

The trio - a soprano, violist and pianist – who hail from the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music of Thailand will take audience on a multi-cultural musical showcase which integrates classical western music with the musical traditions of Thailand. The performance features masterpieces such as the Arias of Puccini, Verdi and Britten, timeless classics Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, and Schumann’s Viola Sonata, as well as contemporary interpretations of Thai music.

The show, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Thai Embassy in Bahrain, is open to the public. Early attendance at the venue is highly advised.

Held under the slogan “A Journey of Joy”, the popular annual festival takes place this year during the leisure tourism season of the ministry’s Manama Capital of Arab Tourism 2013 program. The next major show will be “Scooby Doo! Live” at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center from August 21 – 25.
