Minister of Culture Receives Chinese Ambassador; 

HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s Visit lauded

Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain Li Chen and discussed with him ways of bolstering bilateral relations in the cultural field.

She lauded the recent historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to China and its role in boosting the economic and tourism sectors in Bahrain. She presented an invitation to her Chinese counterpart Cai Wu to visit Bahrain and get informed about its unique cultural experience.

On his part, the Chinese ambassador lauded the positive outcome of HM the King's historic visit to China, stressing his country's keenness to boost cultural relations with the Bahraini people.

He also praised Shaikha Mai's efforts in promoting culture in Bahrain and conveyed to her the greetings of the Chinese Minister of Culture who voiced the President's wish to further cement bilateral cultural ties through a Memorandum of Understanding being prepared to bolster tourism exchange between both countries.

Bahraini daily newspapers this morning affirmed that the historic visit by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the friendly People's Republic of China has accomplished outstanding success and ushered in a new phase in bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and China, boosted cooperation relations and magnified mutual benefit aimed to achieve mutual interests of both friendly countries and peoples.

Local newspapers underlined the grand reception by the Chinese Government and people for HM the King which reflects Bahrain's position in China and its honorable people. It also reflects China's outlook and economic activities and boosting bilateral relations between the two countries with focus on joint ventures with the Bahraini economic side which will reap great benefits to development plans in Bahrain and China.

The newspaper added that the visit of HM the King to China is undoubtedly a bridge for the beginning of an advanced and constructive cooperation between the two countries and that Bahrain can benefit a lot from Chinese expertise, especially in creating infrastructures and housing projects as China has high capacity to accomplish tens of thousands of residential u nits in a very record time.
