American Pink Martini & Japanese Saori Yuki At the National Theater

Music and the magic of life in its universal dimension and in one unforgettable concert in Bahrain, on 27th May 2014, the acclaimed group, the American Pink Martini & Japanese Saori Yuki, dazzled the public and transcended time and space.

Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world – crossing genres of classical, jazz and old- fashioned pop – and hoping to appeal to conservatives and liberals alike, he founded the “little orchestra” Pink Martini in 1994 to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, libraries, public broadcasting, education and parks.

The famous and the acclaimed group recaptured the magic of their collaboration with the “Barbara Streisand of Japan” Saori Yuki, one of Japan’s most iconic divas, in the remarkable album “1969” released in 2011, a spectacular cultural dialogue between featured Yuki’s soaring vocals and Pink Martini’s stellar musicianship.
