Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Visits Bahrain

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al- Khalifa,  President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism , Mr. Abulfas Garayev, on 9 November 2017 at Bahrain National Theatre.
The minister was briefed about the theatre which has enriched the kingdom’s cultural infrastructure since 2012, touring the exhibition  “HOUE” installation by French-Iraqi artist Mehdi Moutashar. Azerbaijan Minister of Tourism and Culture finished his tour by visiting Muharraq’s historical house, under Shaikh Ebrahim Centre umbrella and discovered many of the amazing cultural landscapes of the city.   
Mr. Abulfas Garayev thanked H.E Shaikha Mai for this invitation to get acquainted about  H.E ‘s efforts and cultural investments and development projects that earned the kingdom landmark achievements at the Arab and international arenas. Mr. Garayev praised Bahrain's worldwide cultural achievements, thanking BACA President for her relentless efforts to enhance Bahrain’s presence on world stage and H.E vision about reaching out to other civilisations and cultural enrichment between peoples.
During the second day of his visit,  10 November 2017, Mr. Abulfas Garayev Qala’at al Bahrain Fort site, on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and was informed about its historical and cultural importance that date back to the Dilmun era. The site museum, sponsored by Arcapita Bank,  artefacts  reflect the ancient history of Bahrain and represents a successful private sector Invest in Culture endeavour.
wroth to mention that the Republic of Azerbaijan is considered an important cultural centre in Asia that has come into the limelight in recent years thanks to the large-scale cultural and sporting events, hosing five international music festivals. It also a pioneering and developing nation destination for cultural tourism activities, given its strategic location, and its represents a metaphorical bridge between East and West.
