Bahrain 26th International Music Festival Kicking Off with “Gala Mozart Le Concert d’Astrée”, Tickets are Still on Sale

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities Bahrain National would like to inform the public that tickets for Gala Mozart presented by Le Concert d’Astrée on 19 October 2017, are still available for one of this months' highlights at the Bahrain National Theatre at Virgin Bahrain City Centre or online through http://www.virginmegastore.me. The music group will kick off the 26th Bahrain International Music Festival.

Gala Mozart presented by Le Concert d’Astrée, started off their tour at the world famous Paris-based Théâtre des Champs-Elysées on October 13th 2017, and are currently preparing for their upcoming performance which will be held at the Bahrain National Theatre on 19 October 2017. The evening carries the beauty of Mozart's music, which reflects the depth of human emotion. The orchestra leader, Maestro Emmanuelle Haïm, presents us with five exceptional singers and Le Concert d’Astrée, an extraordinary concert celebrating Mozart in a joyful and beautiful way. Le Concert d’Astrée is today one of the finest ensembles of baroque music and offers its performances in the most prominent international theaters and music festivals around the world.

Gala Mozart, as ensemble-in-residence at the Opéra de Lille, Le Concert d'Astrée receives support from the City of Lille. Le Concert d'Astrée ensemble also receives support from the French Ministry of Culture and Communication/ Hauts-de-France Regional Department of Cultural Affairs in the form of a subsidy for an approved company performing at national and international venues. The Département du Nord is a partner of Le Concert d’Astrée.

Worth to mention that Aix-en-Provence festival works in close cooperation and harmony with Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, and was invited to perform in the Kingdom of Bahrain in a production of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro staged by Aix-en-Provence. Indeed, The Mohler Orchestra, as they usually perform in Aix –en –Provence festival, also presented Mozart's masterpieces in the company of several related works, including a scene from "The Magic Flute" earlier in Bahrain too.
