H.E Shaikha Mai Receives the New Chinese Ambassador

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) received, on 8 May 2018, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, An Wa'er.

H.E Shaikha Mai welcomed the new Chinese Ambassador and praised the Bahraini-Chinese relations and the level of cooperation in many, especially its strong cultural presence in local events, wishing the ambassador a successful mission in Bahrain. H.E briefed her guest about the latest major cultural events, art shows and exhibitions planned by BACA for June and July. Indeed, Bahrain is stepping up preparations to host the 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee chaired by Bahrain, the launch of Bahrain Summer Festival in Muharraq, a city celebrated as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.

His Excellency ambassador Shi Jin Hon, for his part, praised the cultural cooperation between Bahrain and China, lauding the role of BACA in planning and producing joint cultural works that best represent and reflect the culture and civilization of both countries. The New Chinese ambassador voiced his readiness to cooperate with Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) to participate in any cultural event or project that would strengthen and reinforce cultural relations between the kingdom of Bahrain and People's Republic of China.
