H.E Shaikha Hala Attends World Health Organization Meeting in Geneva, Establishing a special museum for WHO is discussed

Upon an invitation by the World Health Organization, H.E Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Culture and Arts, the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquitiess attended a meeting on 18 September 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting was attended also by a number of experts and specialists in culture and museums around the world, and discussed exchanging ideas and visions with regard to establishing a special museum dedicated to the WHO. 

Commenting on her participation, H.E Shaikha Hala said “ This participation confirms the crucial role of culture to safeguard and preserve the history of organizations and institutions that play a positive role in society. WHO's 70th Anniversary celebration commemorates its universal humanitarian achievements for more than seventy years, spent in raising health awareness among the world’s different societies and communities” H.E added saying : “ Bahrain is not isolated from this bright health care scene, given that the first health education school was built in 1959, which makes us pioneers in health sector, as well as others sectors that have flourished and prospered significantly since a century ago”.

Worth to mention that the meeting started on 17 September, with extensive discussion sessions and presentations of different experiences by the participants in order to reach a clear final vision solutions with regard to this unique project.
