Culture Authority Organizes Three Workshops in November

 

In continuation of strategy to reach out to the different ages categories and the large public, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities  is keen to offer a bouquet of different artistic workshops, and a full line-up of educational, interactive, entertaining activities during November. Three workshops are, thus, scheduled namely, Micro-cement Workshop, Live Drawing Workshop and Woodcut Printing Workshop.

On 9 November 2019, the Art Center, in collaboration with Resin Master, will be hosting Micro-cement workshop for 18 years and above . Through this workshop, participants will gain firsthand experience working with Microcement Each participant will create his own piece on wood and learn to create decorative effects with gold leaf, crystals and a clear epoxy finish. All materials and refreshments are included during this workshop.
 
Live Drawing workshop, to be held on 16 November 2019, addressed for 8-18 years old, will be held at Archaeologies of Green Pavilion in Muharraq, whereby children will be taught about the fruit seasons in Bahrain at the Archaeologies of Green Pavilion in Muharraq, this pavilion offers a continuous landscape of fruit gardens each area highlights a specific fruit tree from Bahrain.

Between 17-19 November, Woodcut Printing workshop aiming 18 years and above age category, will be organized at the Art Center between 4-7 pm. This workshop held in collaboration with Jehan Saleh Printmaking Studio,  will introduce participants to the basic skills in wood engraving, printmaking, and inking techniques. All materials and refreshments are included, over the three days and participants will be able to create their own artwork.
