H.E Shaikha Hala Receives Director General, Dubai Culture And Arts Authority

 

H.E Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Culture and Arts at the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities,  received on 23 October 2019, Mrs. Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, as part of a visit to discover the most prominent cultural and historical assets of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by H.E Shaikh Khalifa Bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, Director of Museums & Archeology Directorate.

Mrs. Hala Badri conducted field visit to all its key heritage and culture sites, starting with  Bahrain National Museum, where she was briefed about its crucial role in promoting and enhancing the cultural movement  in Bahrain and  preserving its deeply-rooted history going back to 6000 years ago. Mrs. Badri got acquainted with the efforts deployed by BACA’s museum directors and supervisors to promote the cultural consciousness, its different halls, such as the Dilmun  Burial Mounds Hall, registered on UNESCO World Heritage List, Art Hall, showcasing the most talented creative permanent collection of artworks by Bahraini artists , Exhibition Hall that is hosting all-yearlong expositions coming  from all over the world, such as the current  “ Dolls of Japan” exhibition.

On 23 & 24 October 2019, Mrs. Hala Badri visited Bahrain National Theater, Qala’at al Bahrain Fort, UNESCO World Heritage List site of Pearling : Testimony of an Island Economy’s Visitor ,  and, “ Archaeologies of Green” Bahrain 2015  Milano Expo, relocated to Muharraq city. The Director General of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority ended her visit at Shaikh Ebrahim Center for Culture & Research, lauded its role in enriching the cultural movement in Bahrain as a civil institution.
