For the second week now, the 12th edition of Bahrain Summer Festival continues to dazzle its lovers with the sweetest traditional music rhythms and melodies performed by extinguished musicians and genuine traditional folk music bands, such as the scheduled live concert by Dar Shabab Al Riffa Band at Arad Fort outside parking lot, Muharraq, on 13 August 2020 at 7:00 pm

Bahrain Culture Authority is keen to present to its loyal cultural scene public a very different cultural experience, taking into consideration, first and foremost, the safety of everyone. While the lovers of culture will be able to attend the concert, and  
Due to current health conditions, the celebration taking place in the parking lot of the Arad Fort, will be held with specific conditions and precautions amid Covid -19 pandemic outbreak. 

The audience will attend this drive-in concert only, while following its beats and listening to the beautiful rhymes via the Radio on 98.4 FM channel. The attendants are asked to observe a distance between cars parked as determined by organizers, abstain from getting out of their cars for any reason so ever, wearing their face masks if they wish to communicate with one of the organizers, and make sure that *only 4 persons* are allowed to sit in the car. BACA kindly requests all attendants to disperse after concert is over, cooperate with the organizers to assure the fluidity of the traffic when entering the area and follow instructions and guidance when leaving the parking lot of Arad Fort outside parking lot, Muharraq. 

The concert will broadcasted live on two FM Radio stations (98.4 FM) and (95 FM), and rebroadcasted later on BACA’s social media channels at @culturebah and @bahrainsummerfestival

The public and lovers of Bahrain Summer festival will have many amazing shows and events organized online during the 2nd week of the festival, presenting a memorable symphony night with Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra, organized in cooperation with the Russian embassy, on 13 August 2020. On 14 August 2020, there will be “Cendrawasih Dance” show, held in cooperation with the Indonesian embassy in Bahrain. The festival’s 2nd week workshops’ program will start with “Linocut – How To Create Patterns” on 11 August, and “Pottery Restoration” workshop, while the following day, on 12 August, the festival will organize “String Art” workshop.  

With regard to live cooking events scheduled by the festival, the audience and sympathizers will be happily surprised to attend, on 15 August, a live encounter the Head Chef of Darseen Café, the Bahrain National Museum’s official café, Bassam AlAlawi, who will whip up recipes bridging the cultural divides between Spanish and Bahraini cuisines using readily available ingredients. On 14 August, storytelling event will certainly mesmerize the audience by “Shamsa & Suchi” story by author Norah al-Noman and narrated by Eman al-Ghawwas. On 15 August, Bahrian Summer Festival, in collaboration with the Super Soccer Academy, will entertain and teach children “the Brazilian way to play,” this activity is an opportunity to learn basic football skills from home.
