Thematic Journeys Through Glass

This exhibition represents the culmination of six years of dedication and artistry for the artist Louis Jawad, rooted deeply in the rich cultural landscape of Bahrain. As the son of a renowned glass artist who contributed to iconic landmark, public spaces, shopping centers, private palace and numerous mosques across the country. The artist grew up surrounded by the beauty and craftsmanship of glasswork. This early exposure inspired the artist to return to Bahrain from the United Kingdom and embark on a journey of creative exploration, translating his life and experiences into the medium of glass.

“ONE: Thematic Journeys Through Glass” is a personal reflection, a journey through time and place, expressed across seven distinct themes—each representing a year of the artist’s work. Every piece in the collection is crafted in Bahrain, from molten glass made entirely from scratch.

Through this exhibition, explore the intersection of heritage and innovation, and witness how glass can tell the story of a life intertwined with the history and spirit of Bahrain.
