The Bahrain Culture Authority Launches its first “A Book and a Place” Initiative, Book Discussion Session “Anecdotes and Tales from Bahrain” by Mohammed Qasim Al-Shirawi

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities organizes a new first challenging initiative , namely “ A Book and a Place”, on 24, May, 2023, at the Bahrain National Museum, at 6:30 pm. The creative literary move is organized in cooperation with the “We All Read” Society, and will be launched within the framework of the international celebrations of the World Book and Copyright Day approved by the Organization UNESCO on April 23 of each year.

In addition, the event will discuss the book "Anecdotes and Tales from Bahrain" by Mohammed Qasim Al-Shirawi, in the presence of Mr. Mubarak Al-Ammari, who collected and prepared the book.

Therefore, the Bahrain Culture Authority is pleased to invite everyone in to participate in this event by enriching the discussion with interventions related to the subject of the book.
The initiative program will continue during the months from May to November 2023, with dates that will be announced later on BACA's social media networks.

Indeed, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities announced, On April 23, to start a new amazing cultural initiative entitled "A Book and a Place" in cooperation with the "We All Read" Society. The main idea of the initiative revolves around selecting one of the literary publications of the Culture Authority from the “Joint Publishing” and “Transfer of Knowledge” projects, and discussing its content in meetings with the public and in the presence of interested Bahraini intellectuals in heritage and archaeological places belonging to the Culture Authority.

In fact, there manifold reasons behind launching this initiative, such as strengthening the culture of reading, promoting it and disseminating it in societies and introducing the literary publications of writers and writers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The initiative aims also to give Arab readers an opportunity to read and reflect on intellectual issues that affected the course of human civilization, in addition to introducing the archaeological and heritage sites that host the activities of the initiative.
