About Balqees:
Balqees Ahmed Fakhro is one of the most famous artists in Bahrain. She studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of San Francisco in 1975 and has been an active artist based in Bahrain. She has participated in many exhibitions from around the world including the Middle East, Istanbul, Madrid, Moscow and Washington. She has received numerous awards such as the Dana Prize, the Golden Leaf Prize and the Suaad Al Sadah Prize in Kuwait
