With the aim of restoring its original identity of Almehza’a grand mosque at old Manama souq, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) invites all those who have information about this symbolic architecture to share their images, video clips, original illustrations, historic researches and document, which will support all endeavors of restoring and reviving this grand mosque.
BACA is currently working in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs on this project, due to the given directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to conduct the proper architectural design, and to restore and revive this historic mosque, enhancing its uniqueness in harmony with the old souq and the urban fabric of the historic Manama.
