Linocut Workshop for Kids

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes a Linocut Workshop for children. Linocut workshop is a form of art printing and is one of the trade-related ways in which a large number is needed, and is suitable for postal patterns.

A linocut is like a stencil, the process of repeating a drawn shape (design) and relies on a two-level surface.

 

Workshop topics include:
- The child will learn how to use special engraving tools to print on the lino template.
- Create shapes of your own design
- The participant will learn template inking and the necessary steps to print the template ( inking template are essential tools used by kids for technical drawings , storing colour tubes, pencils and other school materials).

 

Workshop Outcomes:
- Each child produces a hand-engraved mold
- Creating greeting card measuring 15 x 15 cm
- Creating fabric bag measuring 20 x 20 cm

 
Age: 9 - 14 and above
Language: English & Arabic
Registration is limited to those who have been vaccinated and recovered from the Covid-19 and have the Green Shield.
