Silk Screen Printing Workshop

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes a Silk Screen Printing Workshop, and it is an ancient printing method. The principle of this method is to push the ink from top to bottom through a specific porous surface called a stencil towards the material to which the drawing is transferred. One of the first semi-organized printing methods adopted by the ancient man to express himself, his purposes and motives.

 
Workshop topics include:
- Introduction to the art of silkscreen printing, types and methods
- Explanation of the necessary tools, options and alternatives
- What does this technique involve and how to use it in various crafts?
- This course will teach you step by step the elements for understanding the process and producing your own work. You will learn both creative techniques and practical skills
- Participants can use your own artwork to produce his distinctive silkscreen print or select from our stock images.
- Clean up and maintaining of tools and materials used in the process and the tidiness of the workshop place

 

First day:
- Explain Screen setting
- Sensation

 

Second day:
- Mono printing
- Multiple color printing
- Replica production
- print on fabric
- Printing after colors

 

Workshop Outcomes:
Creating fabric table cover/ printing multiple copies of artwork
