Al-Jasra Handicrafts Center is organizing a workshop on the Copper Metal Embossing. The process of embossing copper is the technique of creating designs in the metal through stamping, piercing, folding or hammering. Embossing copper is one of the fun skills in artistic works and its results are impressive in a short time, after embossing copper, it can be as an independent artwork, or merging it with other artworks, or even by covering some products with it, such as wooden boxes.
Copper is also one of the metals of high material and aesthetic value and is considered a heritage in handicrafts and archaeological collectibles.
Workshop topics include:
• Learn about the types of copper and their properties
• View examples of previously executed copper artworks
• Learn about the different methods of forming and working on copper
• Knowing the materials and tools used in copper embossing method
• Explanation and practical application of copper embossing skills
• Showing the Copper rusting Methods
• The use of copper in artwork and products
• Implementation of an integrated product using the materials and tools available by embossing copper
• View the products executed during the course
Workshop Outcomes:
• Enable the trainee to distinguish between different types of copper and the uses of each type
• Knowing the different methods of forming on copper and mastering the method of copper embossing
• Implementation of an integrated product that gives the trainee all the required experiences in copper embossing
