We Read with Yusra (The Beloved Palm Tree)

Details of the Workshop:

 Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes a reading workshop title “Let’s read with Yusra”, a beloved palm tree. Children will learn in this workshop about the story of our Nakhla (The Beloved Palm), its deeply-rooted history in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as introducing the most important parts of the palm tree and how to use them in a productive creative way. The children will also participate in preparing a healthy dish containing dates, walnuts and nuts.

 Workshop topics include:

•  Telling the story of Al Nakhla (The Beloved Palm).
• Shedding light and discussing the parts of the palm tree and their importance.
• The deeply-rooted history of the palm tree in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Making date balls with walnuts and nuts.

 Workshop Outcomes:

•  Enjoy a marvelous a story about the authentic original Bahraini culture.
• Identify and learn about the importance of the different parts of the palm tree.
• The participant learns about the importance of the palm tree in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Taking part in a cooking activity; making a healthy and tasty dish made out of dates.

 Age: 5 - 11 years
