The Young Artisan - Arabic Calligraphy for Kids Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

 As part of the "The Young Artisan" program, Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes an Arabic Calligraphy Workshop. The course introduces the history of Arabic calligraphy and the types of main fonts, and its importance as a kind of art. The participants will learn about the tools used and how to employ them. This is followed by an explanation of how letters are written and their connections by “Diwani” script font and identifies the required right rules of their writing correctly.

 Workshop topics include:

•  Learn about Arabic calligraphy, its history, and types.
• Learn about the tools used and how to use them, with an explanation of how to write some letters.
• Explain how to write some letters and their connections and learn about the rules that follow to write them correctly.
• How to write letters and words.

 Workshop Outcomes:

• Find out how to write letters and words.

 Age: 7 - 12 Years

 Language:  English & Arabic
