At Bahrain National Museum and Indianapolis Kalila wa Dimna Exhibition Toured

As part of its strategy to boost the cultural and tourism sectors, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) president, received US Ambassador William Roebuck at Bahrain National Museum and briefed him about ‘Kalila wa Dimna, Fables Across Time’. The storytelling exhibition which runs until September 30 is being held in cooperation with the Children's Museum of Indianapolis in the United States.


H.E Shaikha Mai stressed Bahrain's keenness in lining up various programs and activities round the year, stressing the importance of ‘Kalila wa Dimna, Fables Across time’ exhibition as an opportunity to showcase human heritage. H.E noted Bahrain's endeavor to introduce its ancient civilization to the world by participating in international cultural forums and hosting cultural activities from around the world.

H.E thanked the US ambassador for his efforts to support cultural activities in Bahrain, arguing that culture is a way of accentuating civilized people's achievements. BACA president commented saying, “We preserve our identity and try to make it beautiful and attractive to others, celebrating our heritage throughout the year.”


H.E William Roebuck, US ambassador, for his part, commended Bahrain's cultural activities, expressing admiration for the wonderful work undergone by Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Archaeology. The US ambassador praised the ‘Kalila wa Dimna, Fables Across Time’ exhibition hosted by Bahrain National Museum. Cultural exchange and co-operation has also been spotlighted by the US ambassador, who expressed his admiration for the cultural and tourist infrastructure in the kingdom of Bahrain. Ambassador Roebuck stressed keenness in closely cooperating with BACA in the future to hold joint cultural activities and participate in cultural workshops to exchange expertise.
