H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Outgoing German Ambassador

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, president of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received on the 10th June 2015 the outgoing German ambassador to Bahrain H.E Sabine Taufmann, on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission. H.E. helped establish and promote joint cooperation on the cultural level through a series of cultural and intellectual activities.

H.E Shaikha Mai praised the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Bahrain and Germany, adding that Bahrain aspires to enrich its cultural atmosphere through a number of future projects. Bahrain has dedicated this year to heritage under the theme ‘Our Heritage, Our Wealth’. H.E also hailed Taufmann’s presence in the Bahraini cultural scene, which, she said, increased cultural exchange opportunities, pointing out that the cultural cooperation between BACA and the embassy of Germany promoted the rapprochement between the two countries.

The German ambassador commended Bahrain's cultural achievement, asserting that cultural and intellectual investments established an infrastructure for different cultural initiatives. H.E Sabine Taufmann expressed thanks and appreciation to H.E Shaikha Mai for the joint cooperation over the past years, stressing the importance of the deeply-rooted bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation. Bahrain's rich culture and joint cultural projects will make Bahrain a world class destination and will form a common platform for mutual fruitful relationships.
