Japanese Film Festival Launches at Bahrain National Theater

Three events encompassing a variety of cultural interests are taking place this week as part of the 12th Spring of Culture, an annual festival jointly organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), the Economic Board (EDB), and Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research and in collaboration with Albareh Art Gallery, Al-Riwaq Art Space, and La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art, which runs from February to April.

Film is the focus of the first event as the two-week-long Japan Film Festival in Bahrain will hold special screenings of five Japanese films from different genres every Sunday and Wednesday at the Bahrain National Museum. The festival, which starts on March 1, is organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation.
