20 Art Students To Participate in Art Workshop for 6 Weeks in the Atelier de Sévres Paris Art

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, in cooperation with the Parisian world-renowned art school “Atelier de Sévres”, has just inaugurated an art workshop, in the presence of by H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, Director of Culture & Arts Directorate at BACA. The Art Workshop is being held at the Art Centre this Summer and is being sponsored by Tamkeen as a part of their continuous efforts to develop local talent.

Speaking for the occasion, H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa said “ The importance of this workshop lies in encouraging young male and female students, 20 students, to take part in and engage themselves in such refined art classes. We greatly thank Tamkeen for sponsoring such initiatives and for its support to culture ventures”. H.E added saying “ Participation in this workshop opens many doors and golden opportunities to learn about world experiences and school of thought with regard to different art disciplines. The workshop will last three weeks during which students will be tutored theoretically and practically, through courses and lectures by famous Paris art universities’ professors and other renowned art school figures, giving the students the opportunity to discover the world experiences, expertise and openness spirit that comes with”.

Atelier de Sévres Paris Art training program main objective is to help GCC students acquire the basics of drawing and coloring whilst discovering essential artistic and historical places in Paris. Thus, introducing young people to the arts, inspiring them to learn more, enhancing their experience through critical analysis and participation, encouraging them to create their own art. The program of the school training consists of a common core including the whole spectrum of fundamental artistic disciplines, and a career orientation / major subject chosen by the student during application from many subjects and art disciplines. Daily, convivial meetings at the Atelier de Sèvres will be organized in order to give an introduction to each visit.

The training program offered by Atelier de Sévres Paris Art Workshop is made up of many specialized and diverse sessions and workshop, giving the students the opportunity to express themselves with different art mediums and learning to speak about art and how to manifest their talents. History of art in Europe and the worldwide, artist-self individual development and formation, 3D techniques, art work analysis and production method, brain storming and focus on art objectives. The program will also shed lights on the new art practices and tendencies and the new digital methods, impact of society, environment and elaboration of art work.

At the end of workshop training program, participants will be given the opportunity to showcase their creative art objects in an exhibition after being taught different artistic trends and philosophies. The broad aim of the project is to introduce high quality contemporary art to students in a way that is inspiring, engaging and challenging. the aim is to equip students with the tools they need to explore art exhibitions, so that they may feel confident in visiting galleries, exposing the workings and processes of practicing artists to the students through direct contact with professional artists.
