H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA),  received on 12 November 2017, the Chief Executive of Seef Properties, Mr. Ahmed Youssef. Both sides discussed enhancing cooperation by using the available potentials to bring about joint cultural and tourism achievements and boost the tourism sector in the country.
During the meeting, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al briefed her guest about BACA's programme for 2018 during which Muharraq will be celebrated as "Capital of Islamic Culture". H.E Shaikha Mai highlighted the key role played by the private sector in encouraging tourism and creating suitable infrastructure, noting that boosting tourism in the kingdom is the shared responsibility of government sides and private investors. H.E also stressed the importance of the private sector's contribution to boosting the cultural infrastructure and supporting the cultural momentum in Bahrain.
The Seef Properties Chief Executive lauded the role of BACA ensuring continuity of the cultural activities, stressing the company's keenness on promoting culture among members of the local community. praised the growing urban investment in the region. He also praised BACA’s cultural investments and development projects that earned the kingdom landmark achievements at the Arab and international arenas.
