H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States

H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa,President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA, received, on 9 April 2018, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed her guest, H.E Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, praising the ambassador’s efforts to accentuate Bahrain’s civilizational image and boosting bilateral relations with the US. In addition, H.E reviewed the key upcoming cultural activities to be held within Bahrain's celebrations of “Muharraq as Capital of Islamic Culture 2018”. Worth to mention that the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) named Bahraini city of al-Muharraq as the 2018 Capital of Islamic Culture for the Arab region in recognition of its rich culture, heritage and historical importance to the Gulf region as a political, trading and economic centre. consolidate the cultural ties between the two countries and to host joint cultural activities that enrich the on-going cultural activities in the Kingdom. H.E commended the crucial role of ambassador in bolstering relations binding Bahrain with other brotherly and friendly countries, expanding joint cultural US-Bahrain cooperation and bolstering the Kingdom’s standing in the Arab and international arenas.

Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, For his part, lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Archeology at the local, regional and international levels, praising BACA’s efforts to create common ground with peoples of the world.
