H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), has taken part in the 16th Arab Thought Conference (FIKR 2018), held in the emirate of Dubai, on 10 April 2018. The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended the launch of the FIKR 16 Conference, as well as His Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, a selection of renowned culture and media figures from all over the world. The forum discussion sessions will run until 12 April.

Speaking about FIKR 16 Conference, which is organized yearly by the Arab Thought Foundation in Dubai, under the title, "Repercussions of Chaos and Challenges of the Stability Industry”, H.E said “ The theme of conference this year reflects the very challenges that the region and the world are facing. These challenges and hurdles might hinder development and progress, therefore, we have the moral duty to transform them into creative forces driving huge achievements and benefits for our countries”. H.E added saying “ Fikr Foundation strenuous efforts, which are deployed to organize regional and international meetings to discuss current issues and gather intellectuals to shed light on crucial matters, highly contribute to spreading awareness about the importance of these issues in our Arab world”.

Worth to mention that the Arab Thought Foundation (Al-Fikr Al Arabi) is an international, independent and non-governmental organization founded in 2000 by His Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal with a guiding mission to help advance the economic, social and cultural development of the Arab region. The Foundation believes that open and constructive dialogue between the business community, academic and civil society is imperative for the future development of the region. By sharing knowledge, nurturing creativity and building on this dialogue, practical solutions for the collective future of the Arab people can be forged.
