H.E Shaikha Mai receives EDB Chief Executive

As part of its strategy help develop the cultural scene in the kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, BACA President, received Chief Executive of the EDB, Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi, on 6 February 2018, to discuss ways and means of boosting cooperation and implement future common projects with regard to culture infrastructure in the country.

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed Mr. Al-Rumaihi, praising the constructive continuous cooperation between Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities and Bahrain Economic Board. Such cooperation has always been fruitful, leading to achievements and events, such as the annual 13th edition of Spring of Culture festival, presenting as series of events for its lovers every year during a two-month period and coinciding with Muharraq's celebration as Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.

This meeting comes before BACA’s near future announcement of its 2018 Spring of Culture Festival Program during a press conference to be held during the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of Qala’at al Bahrain Fort Site Museum.
Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi, EDB CEO, For his part, lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Archeology at the local, regional and international levels. He also expressed Bahrain Economic Board’s constant readiness to cooperate with BACA and contribute in the cultural and tourist development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
