The 6th edition of Bahrain’s International Sculpture Symposium will be held at the Bahrain National Museum from the 2-16 January 2018, celebrating Muharraq as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018. This year, the Symposium will be led by the honorary head, the renowned sculptor Adam Henein.

12 artists will participate this year in the symposium coming from Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Serbia, Turkey, Spain, France and Japan. Until 15 January, these artists will try to eternalize the moment by making individual sculptures that will showcase at the 44th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, to be held on 17 January 2018 in Muharraq.
By organizing this important art event, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, (BACA) aims to shed light on this ancient form of art, sculpture, as well as enhance the cultural and artistic movements in the kingdom of Bahrain. BACA has always encouraged the endeavours of all who have a vocation for artistic creation and help young people to develop their talents without any restrictions, because it believes that the arts and culture represent one of the few areas in our society where artists from Bahrain, Arab world, Asia and Europe can come together to share an amazing experience.
