Life Beyond Tourism Honors H.E with a Gorgeous Michelangelo Marble Statute, Masterly created by prominent Italian artists
Life Beyond Tourism foundation, based in the Italian historical city of Florence, honored H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities and of the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), Board of Directors ‘Chairperson, a marble statue sculpture of famous world-renowned Michelangelo artist. The artwork was produced by a group of Italian artists.
This artistic masterpiece was exclusively made for Her Excellency and presented to H.E by the Paolo Del Bianco, President of the Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco - Life Beyond Tourism, during the opening ceremony of the 44th edition of the Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition in 2018.
Previously, H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, on behalf of the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), had met with Mr. Paolo Del Bianco in January 2016, when they signed a cooperation agreement to enhance mutual efforts with regard to cultural heritage and sustainable cultural tourism. Such efforts would contribute to the dissemination and affirmation of universal values such as respect and harmony among peoples, and transformation of touristic experience into a precious moment of knowledge and encounter for intercultural dialogue.
There is no doubt that Michelangelo is widely regarded as one of the greatest artists of all time. Painter, sculptor, architect and poet Michelangelo is also considered one of the most famous artists of the Italian Renaissance, with works including the "David" and "Pieta" statues and the ceiling paintings of Rome's Sistine Chapel.
