H.E Shaikha Mai Welcomes EDB Chief Executive at 42nd World Heritage Committee Session Venue

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, received on 3 July 2018, the Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board (EDB), Khalid Al-Rumaihi, UNESCO Village where the 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee is being held.

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed Mr. Al-Rumaihi, praising the constructive continuous cooperation between Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities and Bahrain Economic Board, expressing thanks to Al-Rumaihi for his unwavering support for BACA’s projects. H.E also asserted that civilizational achievements are the fruitful outcome of collective efforts by many sides, noting that BACA’s cooperation with EDB has consolidated the Bahrain’s image as a modern historical international culture lighthouse and as an attractive exceptional development center.

Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi, EDB CEO, For his part, lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, expressing his thanks to H.E Shaikha Mai for her tireless efforts to enhance the local and international cultural important events, such as the successful organization of 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee session in Bahrain.

During the tour around UNESCO Village, H.E guided Mr. Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi around the village’s sections, including the sessions’ meeting hall, multipurpose halls, as well as the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage’s exhibition, held on the sidelines of the WHC meeting, which will end tomorrow 4 July 2018.
