“Syncopation” Exhibition Visited by Bahrain-based Ambassadors at the Art Center

Many European and Asian diplomatic missions heads, delegations and ambassadors have visited Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities organized group exhibition titled “ Syncopation”, on 29 October 2018.

The Art Center was visited by high officials and diplomats working at the French, South Korean, Italian and German embassies, as well as the Alliance Française’s head of French education representative. The guests lauded the beauty and refined culture that this art exhibition portrays and the importance of building bridges of communication between civilizations through culture and arts.

Indeed, in this exhibition, “Syncopation”, a group of Bahraini creative talents, gathering artist Ali Hussain Merza, Maysam Al Nasser, Mohammed Haddad and Mariam Al Noaimi decided to present video works reflecting syncopation in our societies. The exhibition kicks off on 10 October at 7:00 pm at the Art Center. Free admission and it will be open on a daily basis from 8:00 am-8:00 pm until 31 October 2018. Indeed, musically speaking” Syncopation” is a temporary displacement of the regular metrical accent in music caused typically by stressing the weak beat. A musical terminology that explains how sometimes the important can be in the weak. This year, the artists will shed lights on “ syncopation” concept as part of our local social fabric.

Worth to mention that this is an annual exhibition featuring works by young talented Bahraini artists, showcasing post-digital culture bringing together a unique mix of music, films, new media and digital art exhibitions, technology and new music ideas that we rarely pay attention to in our daily lives.
