BACA Obtains New Version of the Standard ISO 9001

As a result of Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities’ implementation of the latest standards of quality management, BACA has recently succeeded to the updated version of the standard ISO 9001: 2015, ISO's flagship quality management systems standard. External Auditor and representative of the international certification agency - Bureau Veritas – handed over the new version of the standard ISO 9001: 2015 – in recognition of BACA drive to incorporate quality standards in its management procedures.

Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities has earned and rightfully obtained this international recognition thanks to its commitment to international standards applied with regard to internationally accredited quality standards in different areas - which include cultural and artistic management, organization of exhibitions and artistic programmes and events, archeological excavations, heritage conservation, management of archaeological sites and museums in Bahrain.

This new success reflects BACA’s keenness to enhance and implement government’s directives with regard formal duties in different departments and directorates with the highest standard of proficiency and commitment. Under the supervision and directives of H.E Shaikha Mai, President of Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities and the relentless efforts of Quality Management Directorate, in cooperation with all BACA’s employees, ISO standards are applied in harmony with the work requirements and conditions and the need to opt for proficiency, production and systematic work methods.

Worth to mention that Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) was first awarded the ISO 9001: 2008 in March 2012, which reflects its constant commitment to develop work mechanisms and implementation methods, resulting in a more fluid and high quality application of administrative services.
