Lecture at The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), On Jeddah City

As part of its cultural program aimed at shedding lights on importance of the world heritage in Arab and Islamic countries’ cities, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), will be hosting a lecture on “The Urban and Visual Identity of Jeddah” by Dr. Meshari bin Abdullah Al-Naeem, General Superintendent of the National Urban Heritage Center. The lecture will be held on 18 September 2018 at the ARC/WH and its free to public. 

Dr. Meshari Bin Abdullah Al Naeem lecture "The Urban and Visual Identity of Jeddah" focuses on the factors that contributed and formed the architectural components of Historic Jeddah, and its surrounding region. Dr. Naeem will discuss the philosophical aspects Historic Jeddah’s unique urban features, as well as the historical, geographical, social and economic factors that shaped and created the Historic Jeddah that we know and recognize today. The epistemological questions about the urban trends of Arab cities will be answered by using Jeddah as an example.
Worth to mention that the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) had previously, last May, hosted a lecture on Al-Qods Old city by Dr. Yousef Natsheh.
