After two continuous weeks of fervent and vivid cultural activities, which kicked off at Bab al Bahrain, Ta’a al Shabab Festival’s  10th Edition has come to an end on 16 February 2019. The closing ceremony concert, titled “ That’s Why We Will Stay”, was organized by the festival‘s  Organizing Committee at Cultural Hall on 16 February 2019.The festival is  Supported and sponsored by Bahrain's Labor Fund, Tamkeen.
The ceremony was attended by H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, President of  Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities,  Ta’a la Shabab’s festival youth, culture lovers and  intellectuals.

Speaking on the occasion,  H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa said “ We are here today to end an annual cultural season, which was  animated vividly by Bahraini youth, a source of our  much pride and joy seeing them actively enhancing the cultural scene”. H.E also expressed thanks and gratitude to all sponsors and supporters of this 10th edition of Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival, especially Tamkeen fund for renewing its full support of this initiative. BACA’s President also said “Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival, celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, is one of the important jubilees we celebrate this year in a “ Year of Celebrations 2019”, adding that the young talented Bahrainis will continue to attend Bahrain Culture Authority’s events and activities organized throughout the year. This reflects BACA’s keenness to share with youth the efforts to develop a strong cultural and civilizational partnership for a sustainable cultural activities, making reference to the most symbolic personality that gave birth to Ta’a al Shabab’s festival, saying “ We will never forget the Late Mohammad al Banki, whose memory will always be in our heart and Ta’a al Shabab’s  hearts while they celebrate the annual events”

During the ceremony,  Ta’a al Shabab’s initiative, “Harmony” performed  a number of  music songs composed by Mohammad Al Hassan, and performed by Yousif al Jaberi, Hind Deeto and Mohammad Asseri. These songs form an album to be launched later by  “Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival, paying tribute to the  greatest poetry works and compositions by famous poets, such AbulQassem Al Shabbi, Hafedh Ibrahim, Ghazi al Gosaibi, Abdulrahman Rafie and Hassan Kamal. The Festival, then honored poet Hassan Kamal for his talented and creative literary and poetic contributions and his relentless support for Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival over the last 10 years.       

The closing ceremony included also a book launch and distribution, “ Atyaf”, an annual book published by Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival shedding lights this time on the Late   Bahrain Artist, Rachid al Arifi. Winner of the Late Hassan Al Hariri’s Voluntary Performance Award was also announced during the ceremony, which went to Abdul Munaim Ali from “ Technique” initiative, honoring his exceptional endowment and generous efforts during the festival. At the end of the ceremony, H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa honored also the festival’ sponsors, contributors, supporters, young volunteers and other collaborative individuals.
  The 10th edition of Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival came  under the slogan (Tashyeed ( Erect),  Takhleed  ( Commemorate)  Tajdeed ( Renovate). Running until 16 February, The 10th edition of Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival includes Seven initiatives; namely“ We all Read”, which aims at raising awareness about the importance of reading, “Darayesh” initiative which reflects the cultural architecture mechanisms, “Tashkeel” initiative highlights edition the  importance of visual and plastic arts. “Technique “initiative embraces technology latest developments and increasing changing nature of it, while “ Harmony” initiative focusses  on how to develop the culture of refined music gifts among youth and society  and uplift the local cultural scene. “Adwar” initiative is concerned with theatre arts,  while “ Premiere” concentrates on the 7th art and all cinema affairs. 

It is worth mentioning that " We All Read” initiative was launched in 2009 as part of Ta’a al Shabab other events, before turning into an offial accredited association in 2012. It is also worth to mention that Ta’a al Shabab’", is a cultural project that was founded by the late Mohammed Al-Banki, who believed and adopted new creative young dynamic cultural activities and events merging and mixing cultural, literary and artistic  projects together under one umbrella, that is “ Ta’a la Shabab” . Later these projects were carried out  and materialized by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, led by  H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al Khalifa.
