Bahrain Culture Authority Takes Part in  the 24th   Edition of Muscat International Book Fair

Given its constant keenness and strenuous efforts to build bridges of cooperation and friendship between the Kingdom and its Gulf Arab countries’ counterparts, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)  is taking part in the 24th edition of Muscat International Book Fair (MIBF), held from 21 February-2 March 2019.

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities pavilion will feature all kinds of different literary and cultural publications, especially those translated titles and books produced by Knowledge Transfer Project, as well as other diverse cultural publications. In addition,  BACA’s pavilion, in the 24rd  edition of Muscat International Book Fair,  will showcase a variety of publications about literature, history, archaeology, heritage, art and culture.

This year’s book fair edition will welcome Al Buraimi Governorate as the guest of honour, and there will be a diversified program of  cultural events ( reading evenings, lectures, forums, popular folk arts etc.) to shed lights on the genuine cultural heritage of Al-Buraimi Governorate, in particular and the Sultanate of Oman in general

As many as 882 publishing houses directly and 253 publishers through representing agencies are participating from 30 countries, such as China, Bulgaria, Canada and Sri Lanka taking part for the first time. The fair will have 35,000 new titles taking the total number of titles to 523,000, 35% of them new publications and releases.
