H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Saudi Ambassador

 

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities  (BACA), received H.E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al-Shaikh, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on 25 February 2019. The meeting aimed bolster joint cooperation and take advantage of bilateral cultural and social rapprochement to implement joint cultural projects.

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad al-Khalifa lauded the bilateral relations and highlighted the joint cultural movement that reflected the historic depth of human ties. H.E During the meeting, they both  reviewed the distinguished relations between the two countries and their progress in all fields, the current future cultural projects, such as Bahrain’s 45th  Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, showcasing exceptional artworks by talented Saudi artists.  In addition, Bahrain National Museum’s current Saudi exhibition  "Design Crossroads: The Jewellery of Saudi Arabia", which will run until May 2019, was also highlighted.

Saudi Ambassador, H.E Dr. Al-Shaikh, for his part, highlighted the crucial and outstanding role  Bahrain is playing in reflecting brightly  the region's authentic culture through multiple activities and festivals. H.E added that BACAs role in enhancing cultural relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain is phenomenal, sharing and exchanging many cultural participations and events because there is a considerable overlap between the two cultures and peoples.
