H.E Shaikha Mai Receives the Newly-appointed German Ambassador to Bahrain
H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) received, on 28 January 2019, the newly-appointed German ambassador, H.E. German Ambassador to Bahrain Kai Thamo Boeckmann.
H.E Shaikha Mai welcomed her guest, stressing the depth of the good relations between the two countries and praised the deep-rooted bilateral cooperation ties in various fields especially in the cultural fields. During the meeting, H.E Shaikha Mai briefed the ambassador on BACA’s main cultural activities and events for 2019, baptized 2019, as the “Year of Celebrations”, introducing a number of principal events that shaped the Kingdom of Bahrain's Modern history, throughout a number of remarkable cultural, economic and social achievements over one hundred years.
H.E. German Ambassador to Bahrain Kai Thamo Boeckmann, expressed his pride in the level of Bahraini-German cultural relations reached so far, and his admiration of BACA’s programs and projects to be implemented in the upcoming period, affirming his readiness to enrich the cultural and artistic cooperation through mutual presence in the cultural scene of both countries.
