Children’s Rehearsals of The Cultural Hall’s “Rapunzel” Theater Show

Curtains fell on the  Cultural Hall ‘s rehearsals of  the famous theater show, “ Rapunzel” on 10 July 2019, whereby more than 60 kids have taken part form three days in a number of theater skills, such as Acting, Mime and Drama Quest.  On 11 July 2019, these little ones will present this show on stage at 7:00 pm. Free admission. The event is part of the as part of the 11th Edition of 2019 Bahrain Summer Festival, and organized by Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT), in close cultural cooperation between Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities and the Embassy of the United Sates to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Children had the opportunity to learn acting skills during the first workshop titled “Acting”, whereby the toolbox of a skilled actor – observation, memorization, concentration, and imagination – is explored through a variety of fun exercises that teach students how to apply these tools in both performance arts and their everyday lives. “Mime” workshop  taught them how people communicate with each other in many ways, much of that communication is done without ever needing to speak. See how isolations, illusions, key gestures, and body language are key to perfecting this performance art, while, “Drama Quest” workshop was a grand adventure through a jungle awaits! Using active and energetic role-playing in a dynamic group setting, students develop problem-solving skills by engaging their communication and imagination skills.
