Bahrain Summer Festival Attracted More than 38,000 Visitors in its First Half  A Nakhool Tent Near Salman Bin Ahmad Al Fatih Fort, Riffa, carries on its activities

The 11th Edition of  Bahrain Summer Festival carries on the passion for the third successive week and  continues to welcome its lovers and visitors at  Nakhool, set near Salman Bin Ahmad Al Fatih Fort, Riffa. Indeed, the festival attracted more than 38,000 since its start end of last June 2019.

The third week of the great annual event offered them a bouquet of different artistic workshops, and a full line-up of educational, interactive, entertaining activities, performances to attract the  little ones and best channel their creative abilities and develop their talents and gifts, in cooperation with many parties.  The workshop titled “Lego Sumo Bot”, ( until 13 July), organized  in collaboration with: Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs. The workshop titled “Environmental Protection” will teach the little ones  about nature reserves in the Kingdom of Bahrain and how to sustain and protect them better in the future, while “Let’s Protect Our Environment” workshop is about raising awareness activities on the environment to highlight the importance of everyday practices that we can adopt to protect the earth. In addition, “Coasters Weaving” workshop, organized in collaboration with Meraki Art Space, will explore how to make beautiful woven coasters using yarns and needles, as well as “ Gergoor Making”

New set of workshops will also be organized new week,   (15,16,17 July), starting with  “Sphero Maze” workshop, whereby  children will learn how to design and build a maze and learn to control your robot to find its way to solve the maze, while  “Friendly Environment” workshop is designed to show them  the art of recycling waste paper into new. Nakhool Tent  workshop, “ Picasso Faces”, will take the little ones into a  fun way to experiment with colors, shapes and patterns to create Picasso faces inspired by the very famous artworks of Pablo Picasso, while through “Pop - Up Cards” workshop, they will be learning fun techniques with paper, from initial design to sculpting and painting your final 3D creation. The entertainment workshop, “Music”, will teach them the basic principles of beat and rhythm and using them in musical compositions.

 Nakhool Tent Theater Stage will also continue to host many daily and weekly, starting with “Puppet Show”, masterminded by puppet theatre specialist, Ramadan Yousif,  presenting a series of educational and entertaining puppet shows inspired by the local heritage, animal stories, great adventures, folk tales and traditional games. This Puppet Show will carry on until the end of the festival at 6:50 pm.  On 13 July the Bahrain Police Music Band will  present its weekly  variety of musical shows that blend between military music and authentic traditional Bahraini music at 5:55 pm, followed by  Mohammad Bin Faris Music Band evening of music at 8:00 pm.

The “ Weekend Activities” will carry on from 5:00pm-9:00 pm, and the little ones will certainly enjoy the workshop titled “ Face Painting, to be organized on 13 July, children will get a colorful Nakhool character face painting or their favorite cartoon character. Last, but not least, there will be  “Portrait Sketch”  on 18 July ( caricature), whereby they will sit for a quick and comically fun portrait of your family to take home, sketched by an artist.

Bahrain Summer festival will  present its usual  range of artistic activities and creative workshops for family and children in Nakhool Tent near  for a whole month ( until 27 July From 5:00 pm-9:00 pm) on a daily basis except on Sundays.
