H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Chinese Ambassador, Joint cultural relations discussed

 

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received 26 March 2019, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Anwar Habibullah. The best ways and means to consolidate the cultural and human relations between both countries were discussed during the meeting.

During the meeting, H.E Shaikha Mai Al- Khalifa stressed the importance of bilateral strong and exceptional cultural ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and China,  lauding the Chinese cultural events and activities organized in Bahrain with Bahrain Culture Authority. H.E Shaikha Mai also underscored Bahrain's presence in the Chinese cultural scene, the preparations and equipment necessary to launch the Kingdom of Bahrain’s special pavilion space, the first to be devoted to an Arab country during the next Arab Art festival, by virtue of  cooperation agreement signed on the sidelines of the 4th  edition of the Arab Art Festival held in Beijing in October 2018.

H.E Shaikha Mai also highlighted the importance of culture in the development of society and different communities, contributing to sustainable development, as well as building bridges of communication with peoples and civilizations throughout the globe. H.E lauded the exceptional and unique level of cultural cooperation between both countries, thanking the Chinese Ambassador for his commendable efforts in uplifting cultural cooperation in this regard.

His Excellency Ambassador, Anwar Habibullah Ambassador, for his part, stressed the deep-rooted bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation,  Bahrain's rich culture, and stressed that joint cultural projects implemented in Bahrain will be a lighthouse reflecting the bright  image of Bahrain . The Chinese ambassador assured that the common cultural projects will form a common platform for mutual  fruitful relationships.
