The Flexi Theatre at Bahrain  National Theater   hosts on 23 October 2019 a lecture titled “Leonardo da Vinci: Art, Science, and Natural Wonders” by Prof. Marco Ruffini  and moderated by Dr. Balquees Fakhro, at 6:30 pm. Free admission. The event is organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The lecture is in commemoration of  the occasion of the 500th Anniversary’s death and  tribute to a timeless genius Leonardo Da Vinci, shedding on timeless genius, this great artist the painter, the scientist and the inventor, through a unique journey, engaging and fascinating in the mind of Leonardo, one of the most brilliant figures that human history has ever known, known to anyone for having painted "the most famous painting in the world", the Mona Lisa. And it will do so with a look very far from the stereotypes with which Leonardo is usually described. This illustrated lecture will highlight the versatility of Leonardo’s genius in the art-historical context of his time and emphasize the intimate connection between his most celebrated paintings and his fascination for natural wonders.
