A music project that speaks to audiences through a universal language that transcends borders, comprised of seven musicians from different countries, languages and cultures unified by the language of love and peace, the language of music. Musicians Without Borders is a music project established in Bahrain by professional musicians - Saad Mahmood Jawad from Iraq (oud), Ahmed Ghawas from Bahrain (bouzouki), Ibantuta from France (guitar), Carlos Villarroel from Argentina (bass guitar, and Ahmed Maany from Egypt (percussion). Despite their difference in ethnicity, language, and culture, the ensemble speaks a common language, the language of love and peace, a language that transcends boundaries, and that language is music. The program of the concert “A Musical Peace” consisted  of a dozen compositions that embody the group’s global message, including “Huna al-Bahrain”, “Oud Tango”, “Oud Flamenco”, Ayam Zaman”, “Droub al-Safar”, “Pequena Serenata Diurna”, “Farakhanda”, “Manha de Carnaval”, and “Banako”, as well as tributes to several leading figures in Arabic music such as Fairuz, Ammar al-Sheraei, and Dahman al-Habbashi.

Worth to mention that Saad Jawad has entered the Guinness Book of World Records through continuously playing the Oud for a consecutive 24 and a half hours during the Bahrain National Museum’s anniversary from 15-16 December 2018, as part of the Authority’s  “National Day Celebrations” program. Last year, Saad Jawad, was appointed as “Peace Ambassador” by the International Organization “Peace Without Limits” in 2018. Indeed, The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

Bahrain’s Authority for culture & Antiquities celebrates peace and tolerance in every occasion and event, given the importance of culture as a language of peace and social development, enhancing sustainable development and reaching world peace. Worth to mention also that that Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), in cooperation with Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, rang bells of peace at Bahrain National Theater at the closing ceremony of “ Muharraq Capital of Islamic Culture 2018”.
